6w3d: First OB appointment/Valentine's Day

After my horrible nightmare of bleeding on monday, we have since been to Dr. S's and we got to see the baby's heartbeat. So on monday I walked out of Dr. S's office crying b/c I thougth I was losing the baby and on Tuesday I walked out of there crying b/c I saw the heartbeat. Everyone there was just so happy and hugging us and congratulating us. Unfortunately (but fortunately) I am officially graduated from Dr. S and he said he can no longer see me. So I must move on to OB. I chose one at Medical City, recommended by Dr. S, and saw her today. Wonderful, along with her staff. Everyone was so sweet and caring and just great. We were there so long, though, I was getting really frustrated. I didn't know the 1st appt took sooooooooo long. Anyway, I was happy to be there. She did not do another u/s since we just had one 2 days ago, but our next u/s will be in 2 weeks (8th week). By then they said they can measure the heartbeat.

There was so much information that I don't know if I remember all of it. I do remember her saying that with my blood disorder, she likes to deliver at 38 weeks rather than 40 weeks. She said she will be taking extra care of the baby and me throughout the entire time. I just know that we made the perfect choice and that we are in great hands.

DH and I did absolutely nothing for V Day. We are just ecstatic that I am preggo. He did buy me roses and I gave him a card, some shoes and 2 sweaters. We decided to do dinner another night.
